1. Who we are
“We” and “us” means Manchester PC Services Ltd, trading as Manchester PC, company number 13356970. You can contact us at info@manchester-pc.co.uk or on 0161 820 1992.
2. Who can sell to us
- You must be 18 or over and own the device, or be authorised to sell it by the business that owns it.
- You must remove any accounts, activation locks (such as Find My or Google account protection) and organisation device management before we can buy the device. We will never ask for your passwords.
- We do not buy devices reported lost or stolen, blocked by a network, still activation locked, or under an organisation’s management without release.
3. Enquiries and offers
- Sending us details through our form is a request for an offer. It is not a sale, and it does not oblige either of us to go ahead.
- We decide whether to make an offer. We do not buy every device.
- Any offer is based on the information and photos you give us, and is subject to inspection when we receive the device.
- An offer is valid for seven calendar days from the date of our offer email. If you accept within that time, we agree a reasonable period for collection or delivery. If the device reaches us much later than agreed, we may recheck the offer.
- You must tell us about any faults, damage, repairs, upgrades, replaced or missing parts and locks that you know of. We assess repairs and upgrades individually.
4. Handover
Collection
We collect from selected Manchester and nearby postcodes. We check your postcode before offering collection and arrange a date and time with you. There is no charge for collection and nothing is deducted later.
Postage
- Only post a device after you have accepted an offer and received our written instructions, which include the address to use.
- You arrange and pay for a tracked service with loss and damage cover suitable for the device’s value. We do not provide a prepaid label.
- You must pack the device in a rigid box with cushioning on every side, and send us photos of it packed before sealing.
- You must check your carrier’s current restrictions on lithium batteries. We cannot accept a device by post if its battery is swollen, damaged or subject to a recall.
- The device remains your responsibility until it is delivered to us. Claims for loss or damage in transit are made under the cover you chose with your carrier.

5. Inspection, ownership checks and revised offers
- When we receive the device, we check it against your description and photos. We also check reasonable proof of ownership and the serial number or IMEI, and keep a record of the checks.
- If the device does not match your description, we send you our findings and a revised offer. You may decline it.
- If you decline, or we withdraw our offer, we return the device to you:
- if the device matched your description and we withdrew the offer anyway, we pay the return postage;
- if a material fault, previous repair, missing part or lock was not disclosed, you pay for tracked return postage. We confirm the cost with you before we send it.
- We do not dispose of, or take parts from, a device we have not bought while this is being resolved.
6. Payment
Once we have inspected the device and we have agreed the final price with you, we pay by bank transfer to an account in your name. We do not ask for bank details on the enquiry form. The device becomes ours when we have paid you.
7. Your data
- Please back up your data and erase the device before handover. Our preparation guide explains how.
- If a device cannot turn on or cannot be erased, we assess it individually before accepting it, and we decline it if we cannot handle its data safely.
- Before any device we buy is resold or used for parts, its storage is erased or destroyed.

8. General
These terms are separate from our repair terms and conditions. We may update these terms; the version on this page when you accept an offer applies to that sale. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
